TITLE: Warehouse and Logistic Assistant

ROLE PURPOSE:
Warehouse and Logistic Assistant plays a crucial support role within the Supply Chain team, contributing to the smooth execution of transportation, distribution, and warehousing activities. This position involves providing administrative assistance, coordinating shipments, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with established processes. The Warehouse and Logistic Assistant collaborates closely with both program and supply chain members to ensure efficient operations comply with SCI policy, to support our programmes to deliver outstanding results for children.

Role Dimensions: The position will work closely with internal stakeholder such as the Supply Chain function and program operation in focusing to humanitarian team, including external stakeholder; 3rd parties’ suppliers, volunteers, CBOs/CSOs and implementing partners.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Warehousing and Inventory assistant
- Organized warehouse space, storage, safety, and security comply with SCI policy.
- Maintain warehouse procedure and manage warehouse good storage systematically.
- Regularly update regarding Stock release form and check quantity, expiry date, physical condition of all receiving goods from supplier.
- Conduct physical check stock reconciliation is carried out and any discrepancies are properly investigated.
- Ensuring that all incoming and outgoing stock that are targeted for beneficiary distributions and program use and all GIK are captured into TIM by Senior Supply Chain and Support Service Officer
- Perform daily warehouse duties including inbound (loading/unloading container;), outbound (pick/pack), materials handling.
- With support from Office Housekeeper ensures carry out housekeeping to ensure workplace and safe and tidy
- Perform simple Warehouse Management System (WMS) duties and to assist with ongoing stocktaking.
- Take lead in handle casual workers when required at the warehouse, and to provide overall supervision and training of other warehouse trainees and casual labour, and ensure that staff assigned to the various stores, keep records of the items offloaded/loaded at the warehouses.
Logistic assistant
- Support program distribution in focus of Humanitarian response project for instance Non-Food Items (NFI) and Home-Based Learning (HBL) activities.
- Organize distributions of the NFIs and HBL activities, monitor and supervise community volunteers and field contractors – ensuring attendance is tracked and coordinated to SCI standards.
- Liaise with the Procurement and Logistics team throughout the procurement process and ensure that all items are in line with technical standards.
- Support in drafting quarterly progress reports and provide accurate data analysis and reporting.
- Maintain positive relationships with beneficiaries, Community representatives, community leaders and local authorities to facilitate SCIs work in target areas.
- Assist in any additional administrative duties as required for the project including preparation of PRs, PRFs and other tasks as required.
- To Assist and coordinate the off-loading of goods on vehicle from or to the warehouse and stacking of the supplies, follow-up tracking of the commodities in pipeline and report to the appropriate personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Thai nationality
- Diploma in Public or Business Administration or related Discipline
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least 2 to 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field
- Good organizational and management skills including problem-solving.
- Basic verbal and written skills in English
- Ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
- Valid diving license and high experienced in driving in remote areas
- Be physically fit to perform the duties relating to the position.
- Available to participate in field duty trips across the operation area.
- Flexibility in the execution of tasks and ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform under stress and in difficult circumstances.
- Desirable:
- Ability to manage diverse vehicle maintenance operations and usage of equipment.
- Excellent administration and organizational skills
- Ability to speak Karen and/or Burmese.
- Experience working in an intercultural environment with respect to diversity.
