Your number one responsibility will be to lead and manage the day-to-day Site logistics operation with regards to all aspects of goods receipt, warehousing, inventory control and parts supply to build lines.The Company

Check out our or !Your Dream RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Warehouse Manager to to lead, develop & mentor Warehouse staff and ensure available resources are efficiently and effectively utilized. This role reports directly to our UK Head of Supply Chain and will play a pivotal part in the smooth running of our Scarborough site.Main responsibilities
- Manage team within (or better than) operational budget.
- To ensure the relevant processes are known, understood, efficient, utilized and reviewed.
- To champion 5S standards and ensure housekeeping is maintained within all areas of control
- To maintain Health & Safety requirements and manage Level 2 H&S processes within area of control
- To ensure the product gets to build lines in the most efficient way possible to the right place at the right time.
- To manage inventory through Group Inventory control policies (e.g. cycle counting, stock checks, etc)
- Managing inbound stock shortages and documentation, ensuring all relevant parties are informed in a timely manner
- To develop skills matrices and training plans to provide flexibility within the team to cover periods of absence
- Develop warehouse racking & floor plans in line with Group standards
- To provide weekly / monthly KPI’s to demonstrate process control and compliance
- Work with the Finance and the Site Materials Manager to identify and remove obsolete / slow moving parts.
- Identify, drive and implement cost saving opportunities
- OTIF delivery of all available material to production lines.
- Achieve high inventory turns and maintain an optimal level of days of supply for our products
- Ensure that goods in are processed and stored within 24 hours to minimize delays
- Respond to and resolve goods in queries within 24 hours to facilitate smooth operations
- Regularly review and manage obsolete stock to prevent unnecessary holding costs
- Maintain stock accuracy at a rate of better than 98% location accuracy to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Implement measures to reduce levels of lost and damaged inventory, contributing to cost savings
- Ensure that there are no overdue allocations, minimizing inventory discrepancies
- Strive for zero RIDDOR incidents and prioritize the safety of our team
- Efficiently pick and issue kits according to the plan to support timely production processes
- Assist with any other duties as required to contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
What you will bring
- Ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant discipline
- Specific qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics are preferred
- Preferably Six Sigma certified
- Must have a proven track record of achievement in a similar role
- Experienced in logistical/material supply methodologies, including Lean principles
- Flexible and adaptable in approach
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Able and willing to work outside core hours as necessary
- Should be able to lead by example and motivate Team Members
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
- Strong problem analysis, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in change management and introduction of warehouse automation is desirable
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Willingness to travel to other locations when required
