02 The Job

At World Vision USA We have over 70 years of experience working with communities, donors, partners, and governments to create opportunities for better futures for vulnerable children … even in the toughest places. Our recipe includes love of all people, thriftiness, and targeting the root causes of poverty to bring about human transformation and fullness of life. With us every 60 seconds a family gets water, a hungry child is fed, and a family gets the tools to overcome poverty.

Working in the role of Warehouse Operations Manager your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40). Look no further to connect your passion to life-changing work with impact. Be an integral member of our 4-person team that sits within the larger channel marketing group. Working out of our warehouse in Franklin, Tennessee see yourself shipping and receiving the materials and technology used by the teams that organize on-site fundraising events for our Artists, Church, Team World Vision, and our Ignite Program for Schools. The impact of these events is profound and helps us achieve nothing short of helping more children, families, and their communities overcome poverty and injustice.

While it’s accurate to say it’s warehouse work that involves supply and logistics type work, the successful team member that will be a strong match for us will be entrepreneurial and scrappy. Think in terms of having a mindset of working autonomously or self-directed coupled with a natural tendency to problem-solve and find solutions where some might see a dead-end.

At World Vision our ultimate God-sized dream is to see more children, families, and communities affected by poverty experience the fullness of life that God intends for them all for his glory. Do you share this dream with us and so many others? We hope so.

03 What success looks like

  1. You successfully complete your new employee training which will be conducted hands-on and in real-time to include familiarization with our inventory and work processes.

  3. You demonstrate an ongoing aptitude and curiosity for technology and see the importance of it in our fundraising support efforts. As an example, you show a commitment to staying current on the technology tools that we supply to the organization for fundraising events (i.e. mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and the various software used by the business).
  4. Once fully trained to perform the job, you show initiative and often work independently or self-directed. You’re found to have suggestions on ways to improve or enhance the ways we work and serve the organization. As issues or blockers arise, you raise them and play an active part in contributing to the solutions that help solve them in a timely manner.
  5. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (e.g. Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions).
