Role: The Warehouse Technician/Delivery Driver (Class 1/AZ) has a dual role involving warehouse management, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) production, and bulk deliveries of DEF, industrial supplies, and lubricants. The main delivery focus is within the Montreal/Ottawa footprint, but longer distances may require overnight stays. Responsibilities include inventory control, order preparation, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and DEF production. The role also involves computer and ERP software use for proper documentation of inventory, orders, and customer data. Overall, the role demands versatility, combining physical warehouse work with long-distance deliveries, prioritizing safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery: Operate box truck or tractor-trailer tank with pump, adhering to all regulations of the Highway Traffic Act while driving by maintaining an accurate daily logbook, using an Electronic Logging device (Motive), complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection check and report any concerns.
- DEF Bulk Delivery
– Deliver bulk DEF products by pumping the DEF from tanker truck into the customer tanks following specified routes and schedules.
– Possible overnight stays outside of the Montreal/ Ottawa footprint where DEF deliveries are multiple and or longer distances.
- Industrial Supplies and Lubricants Delivery
– Deliver bulk oil products by pumping the oil into the customer tanks following dispatched routes.
– Delivery of industrial supplies.
– Offload the orders using the truck tailgate, pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
Warehouse Operations and Documentation: Efficiently prepare orders and shipments by packaging products for delivery in boxes or on skids, while organizing shipping documents in order of delivery location, wrapping, labeling, and staging deliveries. Complete regular inventory counts as per Pepco standards and report any discrepancies. Keep the warehouse clean and safe by sweeping, emptying garbage, and removing any debris.
- This task includes preparation of DEF product: Measure, combine, and mix ingredients for DEF production. Transfer DEF product from manufacturing plant into bulk delivery truck, or other containment methods via hosing.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Location: Must live in Montreal, Quebec, or other nearby areas.
- Typical schedule: On-site position. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (may require overtime, out of town delivery schedule and recurrent out-of-town overnight stays)
- Travel requirements: 50% of time spent in the warehouse with 50% travelling to complete deliveries. This breakdown may be subject to change depending on seasonal and customer priorities.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- License and Certification: Valid Class 1 or AZ class license and clean driver’s abstract required.
- Physical Requirements: must have the physical capabilities and strength for lifting and carrying various-sized lubricant containers, along with the agility to operate equipment during loading and unloading. The job also demands stamina for long hours of driving, manual dexterity for tasks such as connecting hoses, and the ability to navigate diverse weather conditions and climbing situations.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience required. Prior experience in the transportation of hazardous materials preferred.
- Technology: Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and the use of a smart phone to conduct basic administrative tasks.
- Skills: Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. Professional communicator, both verbal and written in French and/or English. Working proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication). Mechanically inclined to detect basic malfunctions on truck being operated. Safety, service, and savings mindset.
