UNICEF Burkina Faso wants to recruit a WASH Officer in a TA position that focusses on water, sanitation, and hygiene in the field of emergency preparedness and response, humanitarian-development-peace nexus, integrating the strengthening of community resilience to climate change with a strong involvement of young people as a driver of behaviors change. Under the guidance and supervision of the WASH Specialist (P3), the WASH Officer provides technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process. The WASH Officer prepares, manages, and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the WASH in emergency results of the country Programme.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- University degree in one of the following fields is required: public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering, or another relevant technical field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at WASH-related Programme for developing countries is required
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Fluency in French and good knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language and local language is an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions.
