Job Summary

The Program Assistant’s main job is to help with administrative tasks, including but not limited to completing vehicle requests, purchase requests, and other admin duties assigned by the Program Manager. They will also assist the Program Manager with financial and administrative paperwork to support the Living Water team. This may include doing house visits to see beneficiaries and helping the team with field assessments or distributions when needed. They need to do any other tasks assigned to them by Samaritan’s Purse and always act kindly and respectfully towards the community, reflecting a dedicated mindset for helping those in need.

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage Cash Advances and FERs accounts.
  • Maintain Movement logs and records.
  • Assist with field assessments and analysis of data.
  • Complete the benevolence matrix with emerging benevolence needs and do house visits for beneficiaries.
  • Handle vehicle requests and logistics.
  • Prepare PRs (Purchase Requests) for Living Water programming needs.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments such as security, logistics, human resources, finances, warehouse, and other programs to further program activities Other higher-level duties assigned.

Education / Experience Needed

  • Proven experience in administrative roles or similar positions.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in financial management, including handling cash advances and reimbursements.
  • Familiarity with maintaining logs and records.

 

LANGUAGE

High fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic required.
