Job Summary
The WASH Trainer is responsible for the hygiene sector of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in regards to trainings, assessments, and follow-up home visits. Their primary objective is to improve the overall hygiene of beneficiaries targeted by the Living Water Program. The WASH Trainer assists in identifying hygiene gaps, enabling beneficiaries through capital projects (infrastructure upgrades, hygiene kit distributions, etc.) and educating beneficiaries to improve hygiene practices, with the long-term goal of improving behavior change leading to overall reduced morbidity and mortality related to preventable diseases. The team member will also assist in assessing all WASH needs of beneficiaries both to identify hygiene gaps and support the water and sanitation sectors with relevant beneficiary data. Performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse with a generous and serving spirit, always maintaining the values of Samaritan Purse’s to beneficiaries and coworkers.
