The State Water Resource Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water has an opening for a Water Resource Control Engineer ( WRCE) in the Fresno District of the South Central California Section (Section 4) of the Central California Field Operations Branch. The position is located at 265 W. Bullard Avenue, Suite 101, Fresno, CA.

Duties:

The Water Resource Control Engineer (WRCE) is responsible for overseeing multiple public water systems and enforcing the federal and California Safe Drinking Water Acts. The WRCE must perform various tasks such as conducting field inspections, issuing operating permits, reviewing project plans for new facilities and system improvements, taking enforcement actions for non-compliance, and reviewing water quality data. The WRCE is responsible for delivering prompt and professional technical assistance to both the public and Division of Drinking Water colleagues, employing various communication channels, including phone, email, traditional mail, teleconferencing, and face-to-face interactions.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
