The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) Division of Water Rights has an opening for one (1) Water Resource Control Engineer position in the San Joaquin Unit of the Bay-Delta: San Joaquin Section. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 14th Floor, Sacramento, California 95814.

Duties:

Under the close supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), the incumbent will perform varied engineering analyses, research, surveying, and modeling assignments related to the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta (Bay-Delta). This position is specifically focused on State Water Board regulatory and planning activities in the Bay-Delta. In addition, the incumbent will conduct and/or review hydrologic modeling of California’s rivers and streams to investigate how operational changes may affect river flows, river and reservoir temperature, water quality and water rights.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
