Climate change, biodiversity, and water quality has emerged as principal priorities of the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Our partnership-based approach to policy, advocacy, education, research, and conservation has been critical to our success.
One of our signature initiatives is the Stormwater Innovation Center (SIC), a hub for stormwater management research, technology testing, and professional training based at Roger Williams Park in Providence. The SIC brings together government, nonprofit, academic, and community partners to address water quality challenges using data-driven, nature-based solutions.
Position Summary
The Stormwater Innovation Center is seeking a seasonal Water Resources Monitoring Technician to assist with a wide range of field-based water resources monitoring, sensor deployment, data collection, and analysis tasks. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced environmental instrumentation and real-world water quality and stormwater management strategies.
This is a hybrid position with most work conducted outdoors in and around Roger Williams Park, with remote work for data analysis, QA/QC, and data visualization.
