Weald Field Officer

Amphibian and Reptile Conservation is looking to recruit a permanent full time Field Officer to
join our Weald reserves team. This position will be based in west Surrey. The post holder will
be involved in practical conservation work on our 840 hectares of primarily lowland heathland
nature reserves supporting rare herpetofauna throughout Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex and
possibly occasionally further afield. The post holder will also lead on our volunteer programme
of practical conservation tasks and survey work and take part in promoting ARC and herpetofauna
conservation to the public. A high degree of outdoor work will be involved as will the frequent
use of chainsaws in winter. Practical management skills and qualifications are required but
additional training will be offered to the right candidate. Hours of work – Monday to Friday
9.00am – 5.00pm. Salary £25,000 pa.
