About The Role
As a Weighbridge Operator based at Stanthorpe you will be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate data and financial records for transactions completed over the weighbridge, A keen eye for detail is required to inspect the load of each vehicle entering the Waste Facility to ascertain the contents and instruct customers on the correct locations and most appropriate methods for disposing of load contents.
Responsibilities will include:
- Inspect the load of each vehicle entering the Waste Facility to ascertain the contents of each load.
- Instruct drivers of load carrying vehicles to correct locations and advise on the most appropriate methods for disposing of load contents.
- Provide instructions for the separation of specified materials to ensure specific safety requirements are upheld.
- Collaborate with others on site (including Council and/or other Contractors) to coordinate appropriate disposal of customers’ loads.
- Where required, unlock all public access gates to the Waste Facility prior to the commencement of each working day
- Where required, lock all public access gates at the end of each working day.
- Follow guidelines relating to inappropriate activities when customer behaviour and actions are identified as inappropriate.
- Clean and maintain the Weighbridge Office / Gatehouse and Amenities building and office at least once per day and maintain in a good and presentable condition.
- Accurately record and maintain all transactional data required in the applicable weighbridge waste software, ensuring that records adhere to legislative requirements.
About You:
- Previous experience working in a waste management weighbridge operator, facility attendant or similar role is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in a customer service environment where beneficial relationships were developed and customer satisfaction and loyalty increased.
- Demonstrates competence in communication of information and dealing with customers on an ongoing basis to assist with their needs.
- Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills, to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team, manager and customers.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills, to successfully identify problems, develop solutions and implement these using a logical and systematic approach
- Committed to undertaking the relevant Security Check(s) and be issued with and hold a Positive Notice Card during employment with Endeavour.
