WFP: Monitoring Assistant – Tegucigalpa

 

Coordinate and carry out monitoring activities within a specific coverage zone and submit reports in support of the effective supply of assistance measures sets.

Init islevel,The holder of the position mustassumetheresponsibilityto term a series of processes and activities related to monitoring that require a certain level of interpretation of standard guidelines and practices.In addition, they can recommend a certain line of action to officials of various levels and assign tasks to other support officials.

Main responsibilities (indicative and non -exhaustive list):

Verify the planned movements and the distribution of food products or non -food items, solving routine issues and sending the others, when appropriate, to the higher instances, to ensure that the distributed quantity and the quality of the operation is in accordance with the standards of the PMA.

Collect and summarize data on assistance programs, collaborating with being accurate with cooperating associates, performing and preparing reports with a view to sustaining the work review work and informed decision making.

Maintain contact with cooperating associates and internal interlocutors to gather retroinformation and observations in support of the programs review and the improvement of services.

Suggest improvements to the processes and monitoring procedures on the field for an efficient implementation of assistance programs.

Organize periodic meetings with community leaders and cooperating associates about the product supply chain, distribution agreements, the right to food and other important issues, in order to sustain a current of effective communication and efficient operations.

Assign tasks to other officials and provide guidance and employment training to sustain their professional development and good performance.

Provide standard training to cooperating associates on operational practices and the instruments and monitoring methods of the PMA, to help them in the independent work of self -monitoring and contribute to the visibility of the WFP in the coverage areas.

Prepare reports related to land missions to document the implementation of the programs.

Follow the intervention processes and procedures in established emergencies in relation to emergency food assistance.

Apply your knowledge of the PMA realizations management system to administer resources and relationships and adopt monitoring measures or carry out clear and precise evaluations of the operations, programs or processes based on compliance with the quality standards of the PMA in the field of monitoring and/orassessment.

Qualitative methodology against quantitative methodology

It includes the methods and instruments of compilation of established data and applies them, combining them properly, to the tasks of direct monitoring, review or evaluation, in line with the framework of strategic and operational results (measurement parameters), the guidelines and technical standards of the technical standards of thePMA.

Data analysis and display

It agrees and summarizes the data of the programs, including information about shipments, logistics of the distribution sites, the status of the needy people and the beneficiaries planned and effective for all modalities and activitiesofassistance of theprograms.

Monitoring and review of programs

It brings together, organizes and facilitates data on the products, processes and effects of the programs, including distribution plans and the state, quantity and quality of food and the distributed cash and technical assistanceprovided.

Communication and teamwork

It demonstrates the ability to work as a team and has effective communication skills, interpersonal and professional relationships with all the actors involved in the processes implemented by the PMA.

Desirable experience to play thisFUNCTION:

Experience in the collection of data on the products and the effects of the programs, the completion of quantitative and qualitative analyzes and the communication of the conclusions to the management team, the associates and other interested parties.

Experience in the use of systems and monitoring and evaluation standardsPMA.

Experience in community development work, coordinating with different actors in projects focused especially on food security, nutrition, emergencies and social protection.

Current driving permit (updated driver’s license).

Experience in vehicle management with mechanical box (manual transmission).

Standard academic qualificationsMinimum:

Formación:

Finishingof thecycleofeducationsecondary.WithValorthepresentationofandPost -Secundary Education certificate in the functional spherecorresponding.

Languages:

Fluidity in Spanish (level C) and knowledge of the English language at work level for the reading of materials and policies of the PMA (desirable).
