• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the opening of WFP China and Hong Kong fundraising social media accounts on various platforms.

  • Support the management and updates of these accounts, assist the preparation of daily contents to be posted, including text, images, and videos, etc.

• Provide communication support for private partnerships unit’s online and offline fundraising events, by drafting and editing posts and articles on events for social media accounts, preparing event communication materials for partners and donors, and performing other tasks as needed.

  • Monitor trends on social media platforms, communicate regularly with platform teams for open promotion opportunities and relevant online events.

  • Monitor the followers and views data of WFP China and Hong Kong fundraising social media accounts as well as competitors and peer accounts, conduct analysis and identify effective communication contents and styles for WFP’s fundraising.

  • Support organization of meetings, events and other activities of the private partnerships unit and perform other duties as and when required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme from a recognized university OR recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university;
• University course attendance in the past 12 months.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C). Working knowledge of another official UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian plus Portuguese) is an asset.
• Education: Major in Media & Communications, Marketing, English, Translation or other relevant field. Specialised training in Communications is desirable.
