WHY JOIN WFP?
This position is based in the Palestine Country Office (PAL CO), operating within WFP’s Supply Chain function. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Procurement and in close coordination with Programme, logistics, and other functional units to ensure timely and compliant procurement of food commodities and non‑food goods and services. The role supports the delivery of WFP’s operations in a complex environment characterized by multiple stakeholders, diverse supply markets, and frequent emergency response requirements. The consultant is expected to operate with a high degree of independence in executing procurement actions, while adhering to WFP rules, regulations, and ethical standards, and to provide functional guidance to team members as needed to maintain continuity and efficiency.

To collect, analyze and report on information to maximize efficiency of procurement operations and activities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Advanced University degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Legal or Accounting or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional 2 years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant postgraduate experience related to procurement activities.
Languages: Fluency (level C) in English language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (a WFP working language).
