Context and paper in theinstitution:

Within the framework of the Strategic Objective 1 (SO1) of the Strategic Country Plan of WFP Ecuador, the actions seek to guarantee the food security and nutrition of the vulnerable persons that are in situations of human mobility, or affected by crisis, through the delivery of food assistance (canyons rejected by food, delivery in kind and effective);Strengthening the capacity of the national and local government in (i) emergency preparation and risk reduction (II) Responses to disasters and emergencies, working on social protection policies, and social protection policies reactive to emergencies.

The focus and implementation of the assistance is carried out with the support of local organizations and actors in several provinces of the coast, Sierra and Amazonia Ecuadorian,includingNGOs,othersAgenciesof theSystemofNationsUnited,GovernmentsAutonomousDecentralized, technical secretariats and other institutions, among others.On the other hand, the SO1 activities are delivered and monitored with direct and indirect assistance beneficiaries, complying with precision standards and protection of their information.

SheAssistantofProgram-Implementationit will beresponsibleofarticularysupporttheImplementation of WFP humanitarian response projects in Ecuador, aligning them to national strategies and approaches, as well as the use of platforms and corporate management methodology.

It will provide its services under the direct supervision of the program officer (Activity Manager that Management the strategic objective 1 of WFP) and the general supervision of the country’s deputy director, which directs the program area.Likewise, it will maintain the coordination and permanent communication with the SO1 team of the country office, and of the local sub-officials, also supporting the local coordination with the cooperating associates of theWFP.

At this level, the person must be able to carry out a series of specialized and/or standardized processes and activities that require a certain level of interpretation of standard guidelines and practices.In addition, you can recommend a certain line of action to officials of various levels and assign tasks to other support officials.You must perform your functions with a minimum of supervision, and present information based on analysis, organized and precise, which facilitates decision -making and an execution without stumbling of the programs and projects.

Responsibilityof theposition:LasFunctionsyresponsibilitieswithdetermineconbaseunder the terms of reference published for the position and the work plan established with the signer.

Design and improve operational processes and systems for the efficient implementation of programs under the strategic objective 1, including automation and compliance with institutional policies.

Support the delivery of food assistance, ensuring quality and quantity in accordance with WFP standards, both in cash modalities and monetary transfers, and managing the associated administrative processes.

Manage operational relationships with implementing partners and service suppliers, including the development and monitoring of work plans and contracts.

Monitor and monitor assistance through the use of corporate systems (fashion, scope and partner Connect among others), transfers and record control review, in coordination with relevant technical areas.

Analyze and present technical and operational information for different audiences, using display tools, data analysis and corporate platforms, facilitating decision making.

Strengthen technical and operational capacities through training of WFP personnel and partners, related to the management and execution of the programs.

Follow the standard emergency preparation practices to ensure that the WFP is in a position to respond quickly and send the necessary resources to the affected areas and populations before a crisis.

Support the administrative and financial management of the equipment, ensuring the efficient and transparent use of resources according to internal guidelines and the donor.

Promote knowledge management, through the documentation, systematization and dissemination of good practices, key reports and lessons learned.

Perform any other function requested within its scope of responsibility.

Advanced tools of the Microsoft Office package, particularly high mastery of Microsoft Excel and as well as office equipment and databases.
