Background and purpose of the assignment:
This position must be covered in the WFE of the WFP in Comayagua.The head of the position is expected to take responsibility for completing a series of activities that require some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices for both PMA and common logistics services.You can assign tasks to other support personnel such as inventory stowage and monitoring of suppliers, for inclusion on short list, among other activities.The holder is expected to produce manual works, provide precise and organized data, can also provide guidance on standard practices to other employees and counterparts of their work area.
The purpose of the position is to support the activities of reception and dispatch of food and non -food products, as well as the management and custody of the inventories stored in the Comayagua winery.All of the above, following the standards and regulations of PMA established for such purposes, as well as the established guidelines and perform monitoring activities within a specific coverage area.
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Comayagua’s Network Chief and Technique of the Supply Chain Officer, the holder will be responsible for the following tasks:
Receive and dispatch products and participate in its management within internal operations, detecting any anomaly and notify the supervisor, to contribute to a thorough and effective products management within the warehouse.
Implement and maintain a correct stack of products and help periodically make physical inventories of stocks, applying the established guidelines and norms, to support compliance with internal control procedures and systems.
Prepare exact counting reports, including efficient preparation of counting sheets and distribution to the relevant parts, to guarantee a systematic and rapid accountability of the entry and exit of products and its storage in the tank.
Supervise the cleaning of the warehouse after loading and unloading activities and reconstitution of stocks, to ensure that the WRA warehouse complies with the established standards.
Coordinate and supervise the efficient implementation of outsourced logistics services, which are necessary for the processes of reception, dispatch and management of load within the warehouse, ensuring the implementation as required.
Other functions of the position:
Use corporate systems (SAP), as well as the approved official documentation (for example, shipping guides (Waybills) and/or delivery notes) that guarantee the accuracy in the physical count of food, including quality, this in compliance with the standards established by PMA.
Prepare, verify and sign warehouse and transport documents, and maintain confidential files and precise warehouse transactions records to guarantee immediate reports on food movements according to corporate requirements.
Perform daily inspections and prepare reports on food quality at the warehouse.
Detect with promptness and analyze the reasons for damage to stocks, and prepare warehouse loss reports that recommend adequate solutions, to allow a timely decision making.
Coordination and management of gang personnel inside the winery.
Any other activity related to the position and is required by its immediate supervisor or by the supply chain officer, in support of the preparation and attention to the possible emergencies that are given nationally and in the Central American region.
Required qualifications and experience:
Education:
Complete secondary education at the level of commercial expert – public accountant, bachelor or any other related area.
Experience:
Experience of at least 2 years in management of warehouses, control and monitoring of inventories, use of Kardex, preferably in the food, agro -industrial sector etc.
Experience in gang staff and transport services.
Knowledge of stowage processes and desirable knowledge in pest management.
Experience in monitoring various aspects of logistics operations.
COMPETENCES AND SKILLS:
MSOffice management, especially Excel.
Accounting knowledge.
Knowledge of inventory methods.
Management and optimization of the supply chain:
Have aptitude for monitoring of the supply chain.
Prepare reports.
Planning and management of projects and resources
Information management and reporting
Market analysis, hiring and execution of operations:
Work as a team.
Follow planning instructions.
Collect data from various sources.
Ability to collect and compile the necessary information so that the WFP can make informed operational decisions.
Warehouse management and inventory:
Ability to manage warehouse and inventories.
Technical Assistance and Coordination:
Be aware of the importance of technical assistance and coordination with the most important actors and ability to carry out logistics activities, respecting individual mandates and priorities of the programs.
Languages:
Oral fluidity and written in the Spanish language.
