Position Title: Videographer
Project: Putting Survivors at the Center
Location: [Erbil, Duhok, Ninewa]
Duration of Assignment: [ Seven working days spread over the two-month period of January and February]
Background: Putting Survivors at the Center project aims to elevate the voices and experiences of survivors through various pilot activities and end-point workshops. As part of the project’s final dissemination, we require high-quality photo and video content that effectively communicates the process, outcomes, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Scope of Work: The Videographer will be responsible for capturing photo and video content of pilot activities and end-point workshops. The content will be used in the final dissemination of communication materials, ensuring the project’s objectives and outcomes are effectively conveyed. The work includes:
- Content Capture:
- Attend designated pilot activities, including PSS sessions, referral application workshops, qualitative data collection efforts (such as KIIs and FGDs), handling disclosures refresher trainings, and the end-point workshop, to document these events through photos and videos.
- Focus on natural, candid moments that convey the essence of the project’s process.
- Avoid overly posed or staged shots.
Participant Engagement: - Obtain consent from all participants using WfWI’s consent form.
- Clearly inform participants about the purpose of the photos/videos and their intended use in project communications.
Content Quality and Accuracy: - Ensure all photos and videos include accurate captions or descriptions with high-quality resolution.
- Prioritize storytelling and project communication overachieving professional-grade quality.
Delivery: - Provide the final edited photos and videos in a format suitable for dissemination and communication purposes.
- Produce 2 to 4 videos, each lasting 1 to 3 minutes, tailored to the team’s specific requests.
- Submit all consent forms alongside the media files.
Deliverables:
- Photographs and video clips from pilot activities and workshops.
- A list of captions/descriptions for each piece of content.
- Signed consent forms for all participants featured in the materials.
Qualifications Experience and responsibilities:
- Proven experience in photography and videography.
- Strong storytelling skills through visual media.
- Familiarity with obtaining consent and working in sensitive contexts.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.
- Responsible for securing the necessary approval when needed.
- The transportation cost will not be covered by WFWI Iraq and must be borne by the individuals themselves.
Reporting Line: The Videographer will work closely with the PSC project team.
