The Senior Health Systems Advisor (WHO Liaison) position is based in USAID/GH Office of Health Systems (HS), and will work closely to coordinate health systems priorities and partnerships with other appropriate offices in GH, other Bureaus, Missions, and external partners, specifically the World Health Organization (WHO). The incumbent serves as a Senior Health Systems Advisor (SHSA) to HS and coordinates within the Office and within the Bureau for Global Health around development and management of central support for design, implementation and evaluation of health systems strengthening efforts designed to contribute to Agency objectives in the health, population and nutrition sectors. The SHSA may serve as a team lead, Contracting Officer Representative and/or Agreement Officer Representative (COR/AOR) and will perform inherently governmental functions for OHS. The incumbent will perform work primarily in the Bureau of Global Health, but is expected to participate in assignments that cross organizational lines, including with other USAID Bureaus, missions, and with external development partners.
