WICE Network Community Associate – 1 Position
Primary purpose of the position
FCA Kenya is implementing Women in Creative Enterprise (WICE) project building on the experiences gained in the Creative Industries program and the potential of young women and men who possess digital skills to engage in a broad range of economic activities in the sector with well-targeted support. The project is aimed at providing emerging women creative entrepreneurs with the technical and entrepreneurship skills, knowledge, resources, and access to networks necessary to tap into economic opportunities in Kenya’s creative industry.
MAIN TASKS
- Engagement and Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for participants in the WICE Project.
- Build and maintain relationships with participants to understand their needs and challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to participants in navigating the creative industry landscape.
- Community Building:
- Develop strategies to foster a strong sense of community among participants.
- Organize and facilitate networking events, workshops, and other activities to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations within the creative industry ecosystem.
- Business Acumen:
- Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in the creative industry, particularly in terms of successful business models.
- Provide insights and recommendations to participants on how to optimize their business strategies.
- Reporting and Evaluation:
- Track and analyze participant engagement and progress towards project goals.
- Prepare regular reports on key metrics and findings for project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in community management, ecosystem building, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of business concepts and principles.
- Knowledge of the creative industry and familiarity with different business models.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with project management and reporting tools is a plus.

Skills And Abilities

- Have strong attention to detail and possess strong written and spoken fluency in English or Swahili language
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and project objectives.
