National Forest Foundation (NFF) is pleased to offer a regular, full-time position that will manage projects and support partnerships to implement the Wood for Life tribal fuelwood initiative and other key forest health projects throughout the Southwest. Wood for Life is a partnership that connects biomass and small diameter timber from restoration projects with communities that rely on firewood for home heating and other uses.

Position Function: The Wood for Life Coordinator reports directly to the Southwest Region Director and works closely with the Southwest Field Program team, other NFF staff, and Wood for Life partners to provide project management, contract management, and program development support to help connect wood from forest restoration projects with communities in need of firewood, as well as other NFF priority restoration projects. The incumbent is responsible for helping develop and implement conservation programs with the U.S. Forest Service, communities, conservation NGOs, Tribal Governments, Indigenous nonprofits, and private sector partners to support strategic initiatives and long-term goals in the Southwest.

Location: The location for this position is northern Arizona with a preference for Flagstaff, AZ. Applicants must be able to travel regularly throughout Northern Arizona This position is a remote/work from home position and requires reliable internet access, a dedicated workspace.
Compensation: The NFF offers competitive compensation and benefits and has recently implemented a new compensation program as part of our commitment to transparency. The salary range for this position will be in the $58,240 to $73,008 range and may be eligible for locality adjustment. Please note that the indicated salary range describes the full range for an incumbent in this position. New staff generally start around the 35th percentile of the range percentile to ensure internal salary equity.
