Work Readiness student workbook Consultant
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTANCY
Young Africa International is looking for a Consultant for a short-term (1 month) contract (20 February to 20 March 2024). The role is remote based. Under the supervision of the Head of Programmes, the Consultant will be responsible for drafting a Young Africa Work Readiness student workbook.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using the existing Work Readiness Manual (with 40 topics) and adapting the topics for the student workbook using the Young Africa style for producing work books (samples will be provided).
REQUIRED COMPETENCES/SKILLS
- Excellent organiser with exceptional writing skills, especially manuals and workbooks,
- Quick, proactive, initiative, creative person with an eye for detail,
- Experience in developing participatory learning materials,
- Thorough mastery of work readiness concepts,
- Ability to produce high quality work under tight and fluid timeframes
- Ability to design, develop, and evaluate learning materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, especially Education, Curriculum Development,
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the design and delivery of professional training,
- Traceable and demonstrable experience/track record in conducting similar projects with organisations with similar mandate and size as Young Africa International.
- Experience in training with various methodologies.
