Your opportunity

As a Workplace Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in empowering Local Area Coordination staff with the training and support they need to excel. Your expertise will ensure that our teams meet the high standards set by both Mission Australia and the NDIS, fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance.

This role will be based in Midland in Western Australia.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support staff to build skills and knowledge to support our teams to deliver best practice service and support to our stakeholders
  • Delivering training to Local Area Coordination Staff both locally and nationally, in line with NDIA requirements
  • Develop and adjust training packages to meet the needs of the team and the organisation.
  • Working cooperatively with Workplace Trainers across other Mission Australia sites to ensure consistent performance across service delivery standards
  • Align to National training frameworks alongside local training support needs

Requirements for Success

  • Must hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Proficient in building and maintaining diverse relationships for positive outcomes.
  • Ability to conduct training needs analysis and develop, implement, and review training plans
  • The ability to adjust delivery modes and methods to maximise impact and engagement, including the use of virtual training delivery.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in using Outlook, TEAMS and other systems.
  • Full driver’s license preferred, but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience with disability (professional or personal), delivering training to large teams, navigating organisational change, using training technology (TEAMS and LMS systems), and working locally within a national team is highly desirable.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
