Direct Report: Head of OperationsWe are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to join our client’s team in Enfield. The ideal candidate will excel in maximising efficiency and output in a cost-effective manner, overseeing a fleet of over 600 vehicles. This role requires a balance of high-quality service delivery and economical operations, with a focus on mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be organised, capable of engaging and motivating Vehicle Technicians, and adept at managing the dynamic demands of a high-volume workshop.Core Responsibilities:

• Performance Metrics: Implement and track team performance metrics and objectives to drive productivity.
• Quality Control: Uphold rigorous quality control standards to ensure service excellence.
• Team Management: Recruit and develop a strong team of technicians, providing training and development.
• Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety practices.
• Aftersales Management: Oversee aftersales complexities, managing departmental expenditures.
• Problem Solving: Engage in analytical problem-solving for technical and operational challenges.
• Liaison: Coordinate daily with the Sales and Buying Departments.
• Planning: Efficiently plan incoming work, managing time and resources to maximise productivity.
• Compliance: Perform quality checks, order parts, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Required Expertise:

• Experience: Proven track record as a Workshop Supervisor or Manager, ideally within a high-traffic workshop setting.
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Licence: Valid vehicle driver’s licence.
• Skills: Superior communication, IT proficiency, team leadership, resource management, and financial acumen.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Attitude: Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.

Work Pattern:

• Alternating Weekly Schedule:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday
• Week 2: Monday to Saturday
• Operational Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 18:00
• Saturday: 09:00 – 18:00
