WBG Human Resources Vice Presidency (HRD) is focused on delivering high-value HR services to drive organizational performance and help make WBG the employer of choice in international development. In this regard, the HR Careers, Performance, and Learning Department (HRDCL) delivers innovative solutions and strategies and global programs and services across the talent management lifecycle for the World Bank.

The ET Consultant will provide qualitative and quantitative analytics, data visualization, and talent insights in a dynamic and integrated manner to inform forecast trends and present information to enable the delivery of talent management processes, including Workforce Planning and Skills Management. The position will report to HRDCL Front Office based in Washington, DC and provide cross-cutting support to the Department.

Duties & Accountabilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Use existing HR information systems to conduct research and analysis, prepare/interpret accurate data and metrics that inform, set direction, and facilitate decision-making in compliance with the WBG HR confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement.

• Maintain and make updates in HR systems, including PeopleSoft, Workforce Planning tool, myCareer platform.

• Perform data mining, collection, processing, and analysis, using statistical methods to identify trends and extract valuable insights.

• Independently design and prepare innovative, high-quality reports with written analysis and ad hoc data based on specific requests and context/audience’s needs.

• Develop and maintain business intelligence systems and dashboards to provide customizable visualization solutions for data analysis, monitoring, and management, enhancing functionality and user experience based on business needs and analytical priorities.

• Troubleshoot and problem-solve data issues and develop quality assurance practices to improve data integrity and accuracy.

Selection Criteria

• Master’s degree in computer science, business administration, human resources, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and creativity; demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis, able to articulate issues and recommend solutions to effectively drive fact-based decision-making.

• Strong communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials.

• Experience in designing business reports and graphical presentations, conveying analytical concepts, and dashboard design.

• Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of data privacy, data handling, and data classification; ability to exercise exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive HR data.

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Windows applications (e.g., Excel, Word, and Power Point), including advanced spreadsheet design, lookup tables, manipulation, and analytical skills, and working knowledge of HR systems and data visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Tableau.

• Ability to build strong working relationships with counterparts across HRD and the World Bank Group.

• Attention to detail, strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills.

• Demonstrates professional integrity, willingness, and flexibility to ‘roll-up your sleeves’ to engage in all aspects of HR work from identification and design to implementation.

• Self-starter, multi-tasker and demonstrated team player, including the ability to work effectively in a virtual and multi-cultural team-based environment.
