Key Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator supports the AA design, coordination, and implementation of anticipatory interventions to reduce disaster risks and strengthen community resilience in Kabuntalan, Pagalungan, Maguindanao, and Liguasan. The role ensures timely execution of activities through stakeholder collaboration, logistics management, progress monitoring, and documentation. It aligns anticipatory actions with early warning systems, preparedness plans, and organizational strategies for proactive crisis response. Demonstrates a Christ-centered life and work in serving children, families, communities, and WV team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the planning and execution of anticipatory action activities in coordination with early warning systems and preparedness protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outputs.
- Facilitate operational alignment across stakeholders to enable proactive and efficient implementation of anticipatory interventions.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration among government agencies, humanitarian actors, community representatives, and technical experts to ensure cohesive and inclusive project implementation.
- Organize and actively participate in coordination meetings, workshops, and consultations to promote stakeholder alignment, secure buy-in, and strengthen multi-sectoral engagement in anticipatory action planning.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions, simulations, and learning events to enhance the capacity of local stakeholders in implementing anticipatory action effectively.
- Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned, case studies, and best practices to inform future programming and promote continuous improvement.
- Coordinate procurement processes and logistical arrangements to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of anticipatory interventions/project activities.
- Ensure full compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements during procurement and implementation, maintaining transparency, accountability, and operational integrity.
- Track project progress against indicators and timelines, ensuring accurate documentation of activities, outputs, and results.
- Collect and consolidate data for monitoring project progress and impact.
- Prepare timely reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors.
- Support learning and documentation of best practices for anticipatory action in conflict settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, preferably in humanitarian, disaster risk reduction, or climate resilience programs.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing anticipatory action, early warning systems, or forecast-based financing initiatives.
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects involving government agencies, NGOs, technical experts, and community groups.
- Experience in organizing trainings, simulations, and learning events focused on preparedness and risk reduction.
- Experience in procurement and logistics management, with knowledge of donor compliance and operational standards.
- Familiarity with risk data, vulnerability assessments, and the use of forecasts to inform programmatic decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Disaster Risk Reduction, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
