Working with Youngwilders

Youngwilders was formally established in early 2022 as a non-profit organisation focused on
accelerating the nature recovery of the UK and involving young people in the process and
movement. We do this through facilitating youth-led ecological restoration projects across the
UK, as well as a mix of experimental youth-engagement programmes oriented around upskilling,
energising and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards. Further, we want our
youth engagement work to play a role in making nature and the nature sector as accessible as
possible. We currently have 10 active small-scale youth-led nature recovery projects across
England and an annual youth rewilding summit held at the Knepp Estate. A relaxed and fun
working environment are a core part of our philosophy and part of what we aim to bring to the
nature recovery movement.

We’re a very small team of two (soon to be three) full-time employees, a part-time lead
ecologist, and a handful of other lovely people who help out when they can. We are currently
sourcing office space, but for now we work a mix of remote and in-person, with in-person
involving group site visits or at cafes/libraries in London. By the time the successful
candidate starts we should have office space all sorted!
