About the opportunity

As a Youth Activity Worker, you will engage the young people at Karrung in activities that will better their health, wellbeing and fitness. You will be responsible for organising and supervising these activities during two, four-hour shifts per week.

In this role, you will develop activity plans that consider the interests and benefits of the residents and ensure the effective organisation, planning, implementation, participation and supervision of these activities.

The activities offered will be diverse and adaptable to external conditions such as weather and the time of year, which will determine the choice between indoor and outdoor activities. Additionally, there is room for activities to be led by instructors.

About you

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Certificate III in Sports and Recreation or equivalent is desirable.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Two years minimum experience working in the Sports and Recreation industry is desirable.
  • Experience working with youth.
  • Experience in community services, desirable but not essential.
