- Part-time (45.6 hours per fortnight), permanent position, based in Horsham
About the opportunity
As a Youth Support Outreach Worker, you will provide direct transitional support to young individuals, couples, and families (aged 15-25) facing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the Wimmera region.
In this role, you will provide essential case management support and transitional support. This support extends to aiding in training, education, employment opportunities and support accessing short, medium and long term housing. Support workers will also aim to empower and assist young individuals through direct support to achieve the goals and outcomes outlined in their case plans.

In addition to base salary plus superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits.

About you

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- A Tertiary qualification, Diploma and / or substantial years of relevant experience in a human service, welfare, youth work or social services role
- Transferable skills, knowledge, and experience from previous work history
- Sound knowledge of the underlying principles of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
- Knowledge of the statutory requirements related to working with young people and their families
- Proven experience working with vulnerable young people
- Demonstrated experience working within the homelessness sector
