ABOUT THIS ROLE
YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join our CASY House team on a casual basis.
The role is responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for young people to resolve crisis needs by developing and implementing strength-based, trauma informed support plans.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant will have:
- Previous experience in a Youth Work role, or similar.
- Completed or studying towards a Cert III in Community Services and/or Youth Work.
- An understanding of the complex issues relating to youth homelessness, particularly youth in crisis.
- Availability to perform shift work including weekends and public holidays.
This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements. This includes:
- Completion of a national criminal history check.
- A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
