The Zhao Family scholarship was established to support students in their second year of a Bachelor of Politics Philosophy and Economics degree and to provide opportunities to talented and deserving students which would not otherwise have been available to them due to their personal circumstances.

I’m from a single-income family, and having a scholarship helped relieve some of the financial pressure as I started university. It also gives me the motivation and confidence to strive for excellence, as I know I have the support of others. The opportunity to follow one’s dream is not one I take lightly, and I am fortunate to have a scholarship that is helping make my dream a reality.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:

• An Australian citizen
• A New Zealand citizen
• Australian permanent resident
• Australian humanitarian visa holder

You must meet the following criteria:

• A current student enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics single degree (BPPE) in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash Campus in Australia.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and participation in industry experience.
• WAM 80+

Benefits

• $10,000 paid per year for a maximum of two years.

Number offered

• One scholarship is available.

Selection criteria

• Awarded based on academic achievement.

To retain this scholarship:

• You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 each semester.

How to apply

• No application required. Students will be automatically assessed through the faculty.
• This scholarship cannot be deferred.
