Newmedica

Job title:

Local Marketing Manager

Company

Newmedica

Job description

Who are we?

Newmedica are one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, providing outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. We aim to change lives through better sight and eye health.

We care for thousands of NHS and private patients a year in our specialist eye clinics across the country. We have significant growth plans over the next few years as we look to establish a national footprint and open many new sites across the UK.

We are thrilled to say that following an independently conducted survey of Newmedica colleagues, we have been certified as a Great Place to Work®. This is a global benchmark that recognises employers who create an outstanding employee experience.

Overview of the role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Local Marketing Manager plays a key role in supporting the growth of clinics within their territory. You’ll work closely with sites to develop marketing plans that raise awareness of clinics’ services, engage with local audiences and drive patient referral rates, for both NHS and private patients.

This is a remote role, supporting a group of OJVs so you will ideally be based in the South/West of England. Travel across your region, to visit the OJVs, and to our offices in London, Nottingham, and Guernsey, will be required.

So what will I be doing?

As a central role in the marketing team, the Local Marketing Manager is very much a key point of contact between the clinical sites and the Support Office in all things marketing related.

You’ll be creating marketing plans and activity calendars for each site to support referrer database growth and implementing tactics to defend, maintain and drive business performance at a local level in increasingly competitive landscapes.

The Local Marketing Manager role will have a focus on new clinic openings – developing marketing launch plans and project managing activity from end to end. You’ll utilise a range of collateral to support the promotion of the new site as well as clinic opening events.

You’ll take an active role in ensuring all literature and collateral is kept up to date and on brand, identifying new opportunities for innovative marketing solutions when opportunities arise.

You’ll produce a range of board papers and reports for senior and local teams. You’ll use you data analysis skills to make confident recommendations to improve or change future activity to support the local marketing agenda.

What experience do I need?

We’re looking for someone with excellent stakeholder management skills. This role faces heavily into the business and is a true business partner to the teams in our clinical sites. You’ll therefore be well versed at managing successful working relationships and will be a confident influencer. You’ll negotiate or challenge where needed, manage expectations, and flex your style to deal with a wide variety of different personalities.

You’ll have superb broad brush marketing skills. The role will be very much hands-on and operational alongside more long-term business planning activity. We’re therefore looking for someone who can turn their hand to all things marketing – someone who has developed content, can write engaging copy, has executed considerable marketing campaigns across a variety of channels and has both B2B and B2C experience.

In an ideal world you’ll have experience in the commercial healthcare sector and will have a good understanding of local community engagement and marketing strategies.

You’ll have experience of using a CMS, social media and email platforms as well as experience of producing collateral and writing strong agency briefs.

What can we offer you?

  • Up to £55,000 depending upon experience
  • Up to 17% company bonus, paid quarterly based on company performance and personal objectives
  • Annual car allowance of £5,500
  • Profit share scheme
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and 1 day birthday leave
  • Company pension
  • Access to a range of benefits, including free eye tests, discounted or free glasses, a 24/7 wellbeing/counselling/advice service, private medical insurance, private dental care, health care scheme, death in service cover, an opportunity to sign up to a tax-free cycle to work and a retail/technology discount scheme
  • An environment where your learning and development is supported through a range of various learning tools and courses
