Salary: $100,848.00 – $117,612.00 Annually 
To allow for growth and salary progression, the full salary range is: $100,848.00 – $123,816.00
Please note: In addition to the salary range advertised, the incumbent will receive an additional 5% King County duty station pay.

This position reports to the South Puget Sound Region Manager and has region-wide administrative responsibilities for state lands asset management, recreation planning and budgeting, public outreach and communications, and natural area management. This position works under the guidance of the Habitat Conservation Plan, the Forest Practice Rules, the Policy for Sustainable Forests, the Sustainable Harvest, and the Endangered Species Act. The position also works with all other applicable laws, rules, regulations, and agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as relevant collective bargaining agreements for the positions they supervise. This position must interact with agency staff, the general public, organizations, companies, Tribes, and other state, county, and federal agencies on a routine basis. Work is assigned both in writing and verbally, depending on the assignment.

Required Qualifications: 

• A bachelor’s degree in Forest Management or a related field; AND three years of professional-level experience with a demonstrated progression in leadership responsibilities in the areas of land and resources management;
  OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
