About the organisation

This member based NFP organisation has a long-established community-based education and leadership program and is looking for an experienced CEO to join the senior leadership. Working with young people all over the world, this volunteer organisation centres its work around its core values of respect and collaboration.

Key objectives of the role

  • Direct, guide and oversee the strategy development, review, and implementation of the 5-year strategic plan
  • Work in close collaboration with the finance team to transform and streamline procedures
  • Oversee the implementation of system digitalisation
  • Lead organisational change management approaches to drive future growth through brand recognition
  • Provide organisational leadership through a proactive culture-focused approach
  • Promote and support good governance through risk management and compliance requirements
  • Work in consultation with the Board and senior executive team
  • Deliver improved operational efficiency across the organisation

Knowledge, skills, and competencies

  • Demonstrated success in a senior leadership role (ideally within a membership or volunteer organisation)
  • A tertiary qualification in business, management, or related subject
  • An in-depth understanding of the not-for-profit space, including governance and risk management (preferably in a federated organisation or similar model)
  • Strong change management and strategy implementation skills
  • First class stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Must be able to clear a Police and WWC check
