Your Opportunity
The Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) program delivers support to children, young people, families experiencing or at risk of vulnerability. This program will focus on community strengthening, wellbeing, and safety.
You will provide counselling services to children and young people aged 0-18 years in Campbelltown, Liverpool (Miller) and Bankstown.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a range of therapeutic interventions appropriate to client needs
- Deliver psychosocial education to parents/carers to support young people
- Schedule and conduct collaborative and client driven counselling sessions
- Develop and maintain quality relationships with key stakeholders
- Conduct timely intake of new referrals to commence assessment of support
- Conduct initial risk assessments of families/children to ensure client safety
- Complete and conduct a range of data collection and reporting
Position Requirements
- Extensive experience working with complex young people and families
- Degree/Diploma in counselling and membership with recognised associations for example; Australian counselling association
- Knowledge of assessments techniques and the ability to use a range of service models.
- Demonstrated ability in managing sensory processing dysfunction
- Demonstrated ability to work within a family centred practice philosophy.
- Current drivers Licence
