We are seeking an experienced Engineer with expertise in components & parts for our prestigious Defence client based in Stevenage, UK.Eligible to work at Stevenage or Bolton sites6 Months – likely to extend long term.
Hybrid working onsite 1 – 2 days per week
Phone screen and then video interview required prior to offering.Engineering degree OR relevant experience
Military and aviation preferred but not essential
Components and parts, MS tools, eye for detail, able to deal with multiple queries in a support environment .
The Component Engineering department play an important support role not just within the engineering group but also within the wider business. You will be part of a multi-disciplined team completing administration activities, technical advisement, making requests to suppliers and responding to internal queries. You will ensure we deliver a comprehensive component service offering technical advice and ensuring accuracy of data.Responsibilities:
Role includes the following responsibilities:

• Processing and responding to support queries
• Processing component data (based on Life cycle status, Export Control and REACH/RoHS compliance)
• Working within departmental processes completing administration tasks
• Support for Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Material commodities
• Support continuous improvement activities

Skillset/experience required:

• Knowledge and experience of components and parts
• Engineering Degree or relevant experience
• Proficient in MS Office tools, Outlook, Excel, Word
• High concern for order and quality
• Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently
• Strong communication skills to facilitate communications with key stakeholders

Expected salary

£45 – 50 per hour
