Data and Tech Manager – Flexible Location

This role is responsible for:

The Data and Technology Manager drives AI Australia’s (AIA) digital function through strategy, which includes CRM, data insights and IT functions, ensuring robust and fit-for-purpose technology platforms and systems across the organisation.

Leading and building on our high-functioning team of specialists, the Data and Technology Manager will develop and craft strategy to implement key technology and data approaches which deliver on AIA’s commitment to building the organisation’s maturity in data and technology.

The Data and Technology Manager will also support effective and innovative digital engagement by designing and implementing a strong marketing and communications techstack, maintaining high levels of cyber security and resilience, and driving efficiencies throughout the organisation.

You will have experience in:

• Operational oversight of an organisations technology needs, including core and enterprise information systems, procurement and vendor management, cybersecurity and future technology priorities
• Leadership and team management, including oversight of team and staff work plans, projects and timelines.
• Oversight of Data and Technology budgets and other resourcing managed by the team.
• Proactively and efficiently managing IT project implementation from scoping through to post-deployment review
• Providing expert advice to the organisation on opportunities, risks and delivery of service and support relating to data, security and technology.
• Strengthen and evolve robust cybersecurity and risk management for data and technology services and systems
• Oversight of effective and responsive CRM (core system) and provision of strong data insights and analysis capability to internal stakeholders.
• Managing vendors as partners contributing to the success of key organisational systems including CRM, technical infrastructure and associated managed services.
• Engagement of third parties as needed, including RFPs and tenders, reviews, negotiations, delivery, renewals and exits.

The salary for this role is $159,272 + super + not for profit salary packaging.

Selection Criteria:

• Expertise in data and/or technology strategy and leadership
• Demonstrated capability of enhancing an organisation’s digital aptitude
• Extensive experience with CRMs, Blackbaud CRM preferred
• Demonstrable experience managing and delivering complex technical projects, with strong ability to realise benefits
• Excellent team management experience, including recruitment, performance management and workflow management and prioritisation.
• Experience supporting a fundraising function through provision of data and information (insights), analysis and technology capabilities.
• A strong understanding of regular giving is an advantage.
• Strong relationship building capability, with both internal and external stakeholders.
