We are seeking to appoint an Educator (Children’s Services Employee) to join our team at St Agatha’s in Clayfield on a permanent, part-time basis.
At St Agatha’s Outside School Hours Care we provide before school care, after school care and vacation care to up to 75 children.
About the Opportunity
Join our team as an OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) educator, where you are responsible for the safety and enjoyment of children from young ones to preteens. Your role involves crafting engaging and educational activities, snack preparation and service, and upholding cleanliness standards.
Excellent verbal communication, attentive listening, and a nurturing demeanour towards children, fellow educators, and parents are essential qualities for this position.
We are searching for someone with the potential and motivation to grow into a responsible person role. If you’re the right fit, there’s a chance to develop into the coordinator position as the service grows.

Hours: 25+ hours (split shifts)
Remuneration: $24.13 – $30.07 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Effective workplace communication skills
