Reimbursement: An international volunteer is eligible to claim the reimbursement of 250 euros per month for Full-time support (30 hours per week) or 125 euros for Part-time (15 hours per week)
We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team and support the Laundry Services Project at Kara Tepe Camp in Lesvos. As a volunteer, you will assist with the distribution of laundry supplies and soap, as well as support other community-focused initiatives aimed at empowering residents of the camp.
In addition to laundry services, volunteers will help with various activities such as language cafes and CV-making sessions, further strengthening the camp’s educational and employability services. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact while engaging with a diverse community in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Laundry Services Support: Assist with the daily operation of the Laundry Station, ensuring efficient and fair distribution of soap and laundry materials to residents.
- Community support: engage with camp residents by supporting our language cafe, helping individuals practice and improve their language skills in a relaxed and interactive environment.
- CV-making: Help residents create and update their CVs by appointment, providing valuable support to individuals interested in improving their job prospects.
- General volunteering: Assist with day-to-day tasks around the camp as needed, contributing to various ongoing projects that support the camp’s residents.
Qualifications:
- No specific qualifications are required, we are looking for motivated and compassionate individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of camp residents.
- A car is preferred for easier transportation around the camp and surrounding areas.
