Tätigkeitsbereich

The ”Innovative Capital Mobilisation in Africa” (ICAMA) Initiative aims to mobilise private capital for startups and growth firms in Africa. To achieve this, ICAMA develops and scales innovative investment vehicles that address key structural barriers in African venture capital markets. This work is undertaken in close collaboration with ICAMA partners – leading investors, fund managers, development finance institutions, foundations, policymakers and industry experts from Africa and Europe.
In addition, ICAMA is exploring how to strengthen connections between German and European investors and African venture capital fund managers through an Investor Access Platform that facilitates market understanding, trusted partnerships and curated investment opportunities.
ICAMA was launched at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference 2025, the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit 2025 and the World Economic Forum 2026.
