McAuley Community Services for Women is no ordinary community service. McAuley supports women and children into safe and sustainable living, regardless of their entry point, complexity, need or recovery time.

McAuley is a ministry of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea. In addition to this, feminism, intersectionality, and anti-oppressive practices are imbedded within our client practice and our culture.

About the role:

As a member of the executive team, the Head of Innovation and Business Development contributes to the strategic leadership of McAuley Community Services for Women (McAuley), as well as leading the innovation and business development portfolio to enable the expansion of existing services, seeding new business opportunities, and facilitating trials.

This position has executive responsibility for supporting the CEO to increase the organisation’s reach and impact through innovative solutions to gaps in homelessness, mental health, and family violence, and building organisational capability for innovation.

Specifically, through:

  • The development of systems to support the equitable participation of employees, clients, and other relevant stakeholders in innovation and continuous improvement activities; and
  • Embedding a culture and practice of co-design in innovation activities.

The overall aim of this role is to deliver on one of McAuley’s strategic objectives to innovate, develop and test solutions to empower women and children to rebuild their lives

This is a Permanent opportunity based in Footscray, VIC however will travel to Ballarat and Geelong area within our Business Services Program. The position reports to the CEO.
