As part of the implementation of its activities, NRC is recruiting a Technical Assistant in Human Resources and Administration in the Sahel region in Dori.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the implementation of admin and HR support functions in accordance with the action plan;
  • Help update personnel files and files, including contracts, leave, illness, evaluations, etc. and ensure their archiving;
  • Provide support in recruitment processes when needed, including advertisements, filling applications, summoning candidates, arranging interview locations etc;
  • Follow administrative procedures concerning expatriate staff: obtaining messages, visas, and others; 
  • Help manage the Guest house; 
  • Support the daily monitoring of the work of cleaning agents;
  • Monitor provisions (electricity, water bills, office supplies, subscriptions; etc.);
  • Receive, distribute and save emails, documents and reports, HR, administrative and financial documents in accordance with procedures;
  • Greet and direct visitors to the NRC office;
  • Help establish monthly reports for HR, administration, and all other interfaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least a DTS or BTS in Human Resources Management, Law, Administration or in the field of social sciences;
  • Minimum two (02) years of professional experience in human resources and/or administration management;
  • Prior experience working in complex and volatile humanitarian/recovery contexts or within international organizations/NGOs;
  • Proven results on the responsibilities of the position;
  • Ability to work within a multicultural organization with members from diverse cultures and backgrounds;
  • Knowledge of the context of the intervention zones of the NRC Grand North Area (Dori, Djibo, Gorom-Gorom, Seba, Gorgadji) is an asset;
  • Speak and write French easily;
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, teams, Skype and the internet;
  • Know how to express yourself in front of varied audiences;
  • Ability to work within a multicultural organization with members from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
