The Department of Political Science at the University of Mississippi invites applications for the position of Instructional Assistant Professor. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal with consent of both parties. We seek a teacher-scholar with a Ph.D. degree in political science. Candidates nearing completion of their degree requirements will be considered but must have completed the degree before being appointed to the position. The position requires teaching eight courses distributed across two semesters. Courses will include Introduction to Comparative Politics, Introduction to International Relations, and two advanced courses in CP/IR, including Comparative Foreign Policy. The successful candidate will have experience delivering excellent instruction in one or more of these course areas.
