Functional Responsibilities
Under the supervision of technical officer TB REACH, and in collaboration with other TB REACH team members, the incumbent’s responsibilities will be to:
1. Review Scientific Literature:

Conduct a thorough review of scientific literature on key populations in TB, particularly focusing on case finding interventions.

Identify key populations and potential gaps in scientific literature related to TB case finding.
2. Data Mapping:
-
Use the TB REACH database to map key populations involved in past projects.

Develop a framework for contextualizing TB case finding approaches for key populations.
-
Develop tools for data extraction and extract relevant data.
3. Data Analysis and Synthesis:
-
Analyze the extracted data using established quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Synthesize and write up the results of the data analysis.
-
Present the findings at appropriate forum.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
- Applicants should be enrolled in a university programme such as Bachelor, Masters or Ph.D. or have graduated from such studies within three (3) years prior to the application date of the internship.
Experience:
-
Professional working experience is not required for this internship, but previous working experience in international organizations would be a strong asset.

Strong analytic skills and ability to use statistical software and tools is desirable

Excellent skills in using qualitative and quantitative methods is desireable
-
Strong knowledge of public health principles and practices is desirable
Language Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of English (writing, reading, speaking) is required
- Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
