Job Description

The main focus of this role will be to manage, develop and expand Retrofit West’s contractor
and builder network. You will identify suitable contractors to work for households interested
in retrofitting their homes and handhold contractors and builders to receive training,
accreditation and acquisition of appropriate quality standards.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and negotiator. The successful
candidate will demonstrate an ability to develop and sustain partnerships with a range of
retrofit contractors and small to medium builders as well as being confident in developing and
managing online collab tools like forums and other digital medias.

This is a great time to be joining us at the beginning of what is to be a very exciting time
for Retrofit West. You will be passionate about managing the memberships of contractors and
builders into the retrofit supply chain across the West of England, leading on the Retrofit
West’s business development. You will relish the challenge of nurturing and maintaining
relationships with high quality installers who will be fitting the latest technologies as well
as working with local authorities and energy suppliers to help cultivate an environment in which the retrofit supply chain thrives.

The Market Engagement and Development Manager is a full-time fixed term contract running to
2025 (aligned with the timeline of the WECA grant contract) with the ambition to grow the
business beyond the WECA contract deliverables during the contract term leading to further
commercial opportunities which will grow the company beyond 2025.

The role will be based in Bristol, with some home working. We would envisage significant travel
across the Southwest.

Reward and Benefit

The full time (37.5 hours per week) annual salary is £34,062 – £40,800 dependent on experience.
The starting salary offered will reflect the level of experience that the individual can bring,
and subsequent salary increases will be performance related, including reflecting the level of
growth of the local network achieved. There will be a 6-month probationary period.

Full-time employees are entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays) – your
annual leave entitlement for the fixed term will be calculated once a start date has been
agreed.

We will pay fees and expenses for attendance on relevant training courses and any expenses
incurred in the course of your work will be reimbursed in accordance with our expenses policy.

In addition to the salary package, the post will be subject to a generous pension package (8%
from employer, 6% from employee) with a stakeholder pension provided in line with current
legislation.
