Painting Trainer — Women’s Programme (Paint & Calm)

Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq
Type: Part-time / Contract (per cohort)
Skill Hub is launching “Paint & Calm,” a six-week creative wellbeing course designed for women to find relaxation, self-expression, and connection through art. We are seeking a warm, skilled trainer who can confidently lead painting sessions while fostering a calm, welcoming, and emotionally safe environment. This program is focused on restorative wellbeing rather than formal technical instruction.
Responsibilities:

Plan and facilitate six weekly sessions (2.5–3 hours each) for a group of women.

Cultivate a supportive, judgment-free space where participants of all skill levels feel encouraged.

Teach accessible painting techniques that require no prior experience.

Foster a warm group dynamic and maintain a comfortable, inviting studio atmosphere.

Adhere to Skill Hub’s internal referral process discreetly if a participant requires additional support.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Requirements:

Proven artistic skill and painting experience.

Experience in teaching or group facilitation, ideally with women’s groups.

A warm, patient demeanor with strong cultural sensitivity to the local context.

Fluency in Kurdish (Sorani) and/or Arabic; English is considered an asset.

Desirable: A background in wellness, mindfulness, or psychosocial support, and a personal art portfolio.
