The consulting position will be based in Pakistan

In Pakistan, PATH is leading a technical assistance consultancy to support the development of a national multisectoral nutrition proposal, funded by the Lives and Livelihoods Fund (LLF) and aligned with the Government of Pakistan’s PC-I framework.

The Project Lead / Country Advisor will provide strategic and technical leadership for the LLF-funded consultancy to support the Government of Pakistan in developing a multisectoral nutrition investment proposal. This role will serve as PATH’s primary in-country technical focal point, coordinating with national stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs, and overseeing local consultant inputs across all deliverables. The position requires extensive experience in public health and nutrition in Pakistan, a strong understanding of government systems, and familiarity with results-based management (RBM), gender and climate integration, and donor-funded program design.

Consultant Activities:

Project Strategy and Oversight

• Provide overall leadership on project direction, implementation, and coordination with PATH global team.
• Oversee execution of all deliverables to ensure they are aligned with LLF requirements, national strategies, and PATH quality standards.
• Serve as focal point for federal and provincial stakeholder engagement (e.g., MoPD&SI, BISP, MoNHSR&C).

Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead high-level consultations with government officials, development partners, and technical working groups.
• Represent PATH in meetings with LLF, IsDB, and government counterparts as needed.
• Facilitate communication across local consultants and PATH teams to ensure coherent messaging and aligned expectations.
• Strengthen PATH’s visibility and credibility in the Pakistan health and nutrition landscape.

Quality Assurance and Technical Review

• Review and validate all deliverables and ensure technical consistency across components (ToC, GAP, CAP, PMF, proposal narrative).
• Support incorporation of stakeholder feedback and alignment with existing frameworks (PC-I, Vision 2025, MSNNAP).

Planning and Internal Coordination

• Lead and contribute to planning meetings and check-ins with global and local teams.
• Provide guidance to local consultants and contribute directly to drafting and editing deliverables where needed.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Project Management, Health Systems, Nutrition preferred ​
• 10 years relevant work experience
• Experience working with government and international development stakeholders
• Experience leading teams and managing large scale projects
