About the role
This role is responsible for the provision of subject matter expertise, coaching and change management in the delivery and adoption of the contemporary practice development methodology and person-centred principles, and supporting process and system improvement for the overall effective and consistent delivery of person-centred practice.
Uniting seeks a Practice Specialist – Pressure Injury Prevention and Wound Specialist to work at Uniting on a full-time permanent basis.
Work from any Uniting facility across NSW or the ACT, but we would prefer a candidate available to work from Uniting Garden Suburbs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Operate as a Subject Matter Expert in your area/s of Practice Specialisation, providing expert consulting and advisory services to Service Delivery teams.
- Guide and influence the process of policy and practice improvement in your area/s of specialisation.
- Access current evidence-based guidance and knowledge ensure it is aligned with the framework and utilise this to inform all activities in the role.
- Use trends emerging from program outcomes data, reports and information to inform practice reviews, improvements and changes.
- Partner with external organisations, such as Wounds Australia in the design and delivery of programs that build capability and capacity of service teams.
- Ensuring services are delivered from an enablement perspective, empowering consumers to take an active role in directing their own care and services.
What we’re looking for
- Expert knowledge in subject matter areas – Pressure Injuries and Prevention.
- This is a specialist role typically requiring 5 or more years’ experience in age care.
- Post graduate qualifications in area of specialisation.
- Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA.
- You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined.
