This business enables us to provide a training pathway for people with disabilities to prepare for employment at their own pace and undertake award wage employment before transitioning to open employment.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, creative, patient and energetic person to join our team!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a part-time role – 6.75 hours/day (8:45am – 3:30pm) Monday to Friday. The Senior Trainer (Academy) is responsible for supporting NDIS Participants with their day-to-day activities, including the delivery of 1:1 and group-based support to coach them on their journey to open employment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide direct training and support to NDIS Participants
- Develop resources, related to soft employment skills for 1:1 and group-based training sessions
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement
- Provide guidance of best practice, train and mentor other staff alongside your manager
- Complete administration and reporting activities – daily notes, incident reports, NDIS Participants progression tracking
- Provide communication to NDIS Participants, allied health professionals, carers, and/or families
- Other ad hoc duties as required by your Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years previous experience in a position with transferable skills and/or working with people with a disability
- Experience in training, development or education setting is desirable

REQUIRED TO:
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Workers screening check
- Possess a or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR(HLTAID003) certificate
- Possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
