GGGI is committed to supporting the Solomon Islands in achieving climate resilience and sustainable development through green growth initiatives. GGGI has been operating in the Solomon Islands since 2019 and has so far completed 9 projects with 7 currently ongoing which are all geared to meet this objective. These projects were and are all part of GGGI’s Pacific regional projects with subcomponents for Solomon Islands.
In May 2024, GGGI initiated its first national project, the Climate Resilience Green Growth (CRGG) project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology (MECDMM) and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) as the donor partner. The proposed project which replicates the CRGG model in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and other GGGI member and partner countries will have four components/outcomes which are:
The CRGG project will be implemented in two phases; phase1 will involve stakeholder consultations and design, and phase 2 will involve implementation.
The purpose and role of the Stakeholder and Design Coordinator Consultant is to support and assist with the coordination of the implementation of the CRGG Phase 1 on stakeholder consultations and design of the IDD. The consultant will support the design of the CRGG IDD by assisting with the Project Team with desk review, research, organizing stakeholder consultations and engagement, preparing meeting summary notes, logistical and administrative matters and reporting writing and assisting with preparing PowerPoint presentations.
The Consultation and Design Coordinator Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
The consultant will deliver the following specific outputs and deliverables:
Deliverable 1: Support desk research and work plan monitoring and reporting system.
Deliverable 2: Stakeholder Consultation Report.
Deliverable 3: Support the drafting and compilation of the IDD together with its full annexes.
Deliverable 4: Support the planning, organization and convening of the final stakeholder workshop to discuss validate the IDD
Deliverable 5: Brief Assignment Conclusion Report

Undergraduate or advanced degree in climate change, social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
